Paolo Ainio

Paolo Ainio has had a long and thriving career in media. Beginning in traditional media, he has successfully transferred his valuable experience to the new technologies sector.

In 1983 Ainio began working for Centro Media dealing with the growing phenomenon of private television channels and media planning, and was appointed General Manager in 1986. Two years later he founded Ainio Media, which in 1989 merged with Media & Communication Services (later Mediapolis) where he worked as General Manager.

In 1994, after having spent a year in the United States to study new media including the Internet, he returned to Italy to take up the post of Managing Director of Cia Medianetwork. It was this year that the Internet phenomenon took off in Italy. Since then, Ainio has focused his attention on the digital media market and founded Matrix.

Since 1999, the year in which Seat acquired a majority stake in Matrix, Ainio has supervised the start up of numerous companies in the Consumer and Business-to-Business sectors that have combined with Tin.it to form the internet division of Seat.

Until January 2002, Ainio was the Managing Director of Matrix, in charge of the Internet Division of Seat Yellow Pages, as well as being on its board of directors. He has been on the board of directors for numerous unlisted companies including Lottomatica Spa. He is currently the Chairman of Banzai Spa, a holding company of Internet stock.
 


Peter Caiazzi

Caiazzi, originally from the USA, holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and applied mathematics from Columbia University.


Certilogo's Vice President of Product and Technology until 2010, Caiazzi has 20 years of experience in supporting business growth by delivering technology innovations and operational excellence.


Before joining Certilogo in 2008, Peter was part owner of H-care, a virtual assistance and avatar company and winner of Red Herring's 2008 Europe 100. Caiazzi lead the product development and professional services divisions before the company's acquisition. 


He was the worldwide chief technology officer at Benetton where he spearheaded the overhaul of the information systems architecture, including the adoption of an integrated ERP and substitution of the customized legacy systems. 


Prior to that he was the technical director at Postecom, building the Italy's leading home-banking and bill payment site BancoPosta Online. 


He was transferred to Europe in 1997 by the Internet pioneer Netscape Communications to lead strategic projects and to build the European professional services team. 


Prior to Netscape, he held positions in product development at Oracle and Sybase at their headquarters in Silicon Valley, California.



Carlo Alberto Carnevale Maffè


Carlo Alberto Carnevale-Maffè teaches Strategic Management at Bocconi University (Milan) and is program coordinator of the “Master in Strategy” at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Here he has been responsible for executive education courses on strategic management and competitive intelligence since 1996.

Carnevale-Maffè is faculty member at the “Master in Intelligence” program at the University of Malta and at the “Medien MBA” at Steinbeis University, Berlin. He also taught at Columbia Business School in New York and at The Stern School of Business, New York.

Carnevale-Maffè is a member of the Steering Committee for E-business Policies of European Commission DG Enterprise - ICT industries and services as well as a member of editorial boards of journals on management and technology. He is a columnist and commentator for financial newspapers and televisions such as MF-Milano Finanza, Il Sole 24 Ore, Class News, CNBC Europe, Reuters, Bloomberg and Associated Press.

He serves as strategy adviser and independent non-executive director on the board of leading international companies operating in information technology, media and telecommunications.



Giuseppe Vita

Giuseppe Vita is a seasoned top-executive and leader with an outstanding international track record.

In 1959 he became a doctor of medicine at La Sapienza University in Rome. There he specialized in Radiology in 1961. From 1962 to 1963 he was at the Radiology Department of Gutenberg University, Mainz, at first with a scholarship and then as a lecturer. In January 1964 he was employed by Schering Ag, Berlin, in the clinical research department, and was in charge, internationally, of X-ray contrast media experimentation.

In October 1965 he was appointed CEO and general manager of Schering S.p.A. in Milan and re-launched the company. In 1987, he was a member and then from 1989 to 2001 CEO of Schering Ag, Berlin. He served as chairman of the Supervisory Board from 2001 until September 2006.

Vita is also chairman of the Supervisory Board of Axel Springer Ag, Berlin and Hugo Boss Ag, Stuttgart and Deutz AG, Köln. He is member of the Supervisory Board of Vattenfall Europe, Berlin and a chairman of the Board of Directors of Allianz S.p.A.

In July 2007 he was appointed chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group Banca Leonardo S.p.A. He is Member of the Board of Barilla S.p.A. (Parma), of Humanitas S.p.A. (Rocca Group), Milan and honorary chairman of Deutsche Bank S.p.A., Milan. In 1990 Vita was knighted Cavaliere del Lavoro.
