- What is a Certilogo Code?
Each Certilogo-tagged product is marked with a unique identification code called the "CLG Code." Generally found on the label or the packaging, the CLG Code is composed of 12 digits usually preceded by the acronym "CLG." Example: CLG 012 345 678 901 or, in some cases, 012 345 678 901. The CLG Code may be found in different locations, depending on the type of product. It can be woven into clothing labels, wrapped around the neck of a bottle, or printed onto a certificate of authenticity, a hologram or the product's packaging. You do not need to answer all of the questions. A few questions are required, but most are optional. However, the more information you provide, the better our service will be.
Back to Top - I checked my CLG Code via text message or phone and received a request to check via internet instead. Why?
If you receive a request to authenticate via internet, there may be an issue with your product. Go to our homepage at www.certilogo.com and use our Authentication Service to verify whether your product is authentic.
Back to Top - I went through the product authentication process, but the response was negative. Does this really mean that my product is a fake?
If the response comes back negative, there are two possible explanations. You may have provided incomplete or incorrect information. If you think this might be the case, please check again and be sure that your data entry is complete and correct.
However, if the information you provided was complete and correct, then the product you verified is indeed a fake. The good news is that now you know for sure and you can take action to safeguard your interests. Read more about this in the next question.

- Return the item and request a reimbursement from the store that sold it to you. Although laws regarding returns vary, you should be able to receive a refund by returning the item in its original packaging along with the receipt.

- Why is reporting a fake a good idea and what happens if you do?
You unknowingly bought a fake. You lost money, time and may have been harmed in the process. Also, you may have unintentionally contributed to criminal organizations. This is disappointing, unfair and wrong.
Here's your opportunity to share your experience and make sure that the fraud you suffered is reported to the professional in charge of fighting this kind of abuse. All data provided by you will be forwarded to the appropriate department of the counterfeited Brand. In doing so, you will both protect yourself and other consumers from possible future abuse. Please keep in mind that the Brand may not respond to all requests, comments or suggestions that you forward.
