Michele Casucci
Chief Executive Officer
Michele Casucci is Chief Executive Officer at Certilogo. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing the company's strategy and for managing all functional facets of the business.
Before starting Certilogo in 2006, Casucci worked as Vice-President, Corporate Sales International for US-based Rodale, the world's leading multimedia company in the health and wellness sector. He was responsible for global sales agreements with international advertising networks and top corporate clients.
From 1999 to 2004, Casucci was managing director and general manager for Lycos Italia, the Italian branch of Bertelsmann's Internet portal. His career with the German multimedia group began in the HQ's corporate development division in 1997 when Casucci was financial director of FutureKids, a franchisor of computer literacy programs for children. He later became managing director of this joint venture between Bertelsmann and the German media group Burda.
Casucci has held various posts in Germany, with companies such as Pontello, the German branch of the Pontello Construction Company, and Treuhandanstalt, the federal agency for the privatization of East German companies after reunification.
Casucci holds a degree in Business from the Milan University of Bocconi.
Paolo Pegurri
Vice President, Product and Technology
Paolo Pegurri is the Vice President of Product and Technology. In his role he is responsible for shaping and executing the company's product development and information management strategy.
He has 20+ years of experience in supporting business growth by delivering technology innovations and operational excellence.
His most exciting enterpreneural adventure, so far - before Certilogo, of course - has been at E-TREE S.p.A., which he joined In 1999 as a co-owner, just after its foundation.
As VP Sales first and then as Chief Operating Officer, he helped ignite at first and then manage the rapid growth of what would become one of the biggest players in the Italian net economy.
E-TREE, perhaps the most talked-about digital agency of that time thanks to its unconventional work environment, for its passion about innovative thinking and for the big-ticket projects delivered, grew to 160 people and 18M USD in yearly revenues in just two years.
In 2001, E-TREE was sold to Etnoteam S.p.A., one of the biggest Italian system integrators at that time. The sale of E-TREE was one of largest deals by value of that period for what concerned Italian web-based companies.
In 2007, after a well deserved extended holiday in which he travelled, volunteered, practised a lot of sports, visited friends around the world and offset his carbon footprint, he became General Manager and COO of LBi Iconmedialab, his formerly strongest competitor at E-TREE. Leveraging his specific competence, in the field of web companies, about operational methodology and business knowledge, he managed to reorganize the business steering it back to profitability.
Prior to the "Web Age", from 1996 to 1998 he was Chief Information Officer at Gianfranco Ferrè, designing and supervising the overhaul of the information system architecture, including the adoption of an integrated ERP and a solution for retail management.
In the last years, he has been lecturing for University of Bologna, University of Milan and CIMBA School of Business in Asolo.
Paolo graduated in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, from Università degli Studi di Milano.
Luca Losa
Vice President, Operations
Luca Losa is Vice President Operations at CertiLogo. In this role, he is
responsible for the implementation of the Certilogo Solutions and for Client servicing.
His expertise in marking and coding technologies covers various industries including Fashion, Luxury, Cosmetics and Industrial Manufacturing. Also, he is a specialist in re-engineering of traceability solutions based on AIDC (automatic identification and data capture) technologies such as barcode, data matrix, RFID and nanotech.
Losa pioneered variable data printing in Italy. He has held managerial posts in operations at companies in the business of variable data printing and automatic data capture.
Losa has extensive knowledge of the design, implementation and execution of manual and automated workflow processes related to manufacturing, packaging and logistics. He has a deep understanding of the production of paper/plastic supports used for automatic identification and ICR/OCR technology. His previous positions helped him to become an renowned expert in the various types of printing and marking technologies, including laser, ink-jet, thermal transfer, laser marking, in addition to the traditional production processes and technology involved in the graphics and paragraphics sector. Losa also has expertise in the field of structured and object programming, databases and dynamic websites.
In 2001 Losa founded aidweb.org, the first Italian non-profit web community for advise, self-help and experience sharing on rare diseases. Aidweb.org has over 500,000 unique users per year and is increasingly regarded as a role model by similar organizations in other countries.
Daniele Sommavilla
Vice President, Global Sales
Daniele Sommavilla is Vice President, Global Sales for Certilogo. In this role, he is responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy.
From 2004 to 2007 Sommavilla was Vice-President, Southern Europe as well as a member of the Board of Directors at Nielsen//NetRatings, a leading company in the measurement of internet and digital media. Here he successfully secured top places for its Italian, Spanish and French branches in their respective markets. Between 2000 and 2004, he worked as Director of the company's Italian office. Sommavilla was Trade Marketing Services Division Manager at ACNielsen Italia SpA, the company where he began his career in 1991. He has also held important managerial posts in the Sales and Marketing department of Unilever.
Sommavilla is an esteemed public commentator and an expert in digital media and new technology. All the major Italian and foreign newspapers, as well as radio and television channels have aired his contributions on matters relating to Consumer trends and behavior. He also lectures as part of the Il Sole 24 Ore and Ateneo Impresa Masters programs. He holds a degree in Statistical and Economic Sciences.
